Angelina Jolie reveals why some of her children shy away from the spotlight
Angelina Jolie’s offspring have collaborated with her on various entertainment ventures, yet they shy away from the limelight. The acclaimed actress and filmmaker engaged in a conversation with Michael Strahan on “Good Morning America” while discussing her newest film, “Maria,” inspired by the life of the legendary opera singer Maria Callas. Strahan inquired if there was anything in Jolie's life akin to Callas’s passion for singing.
“My role as a mother,” she replied. “It’s my joy. Strip everything else away from me. Nothing else is significant.” Despite Jolie’s long-standing stardom and her children’s diverse artistic inclinations, she mentioned that her progeny prefer channeling their creativity behind the scenes.
“None of my kids desire to be camera-facing,” she stated. “They’re very reserved, particularly [daughter] Shiloh is intensely private. They weren’t born into privacy, so I wish for them to achieve that as they mature.” Jolie shares six children—Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox—with her former husband Brad Pitt.
