Denzel Washington may have let slip more than intended.

Amidst the promotion of his latest film, “Gladiator II,” the Oscar laureate engaged with Australia's "Today" show, divulging insights into his illustrious career and forthcoming endeavors. Washington candidly expressed his current inclination towards collaborating exclusively with top-tier talent. He also revealed his post-Broadway pursuits following his portrayal of the lead in Shakespeare’s “Othello.”

"After that, I'm stepping into the role of Hannibal. Then, I'm in discussions with Steve McQueen about a potential film," he disclosed. "Subsequently, Ryan Coogler is crafting a role for me in the next installment of Black Panther."

The issue arose as Marvel had yet to officially confirm a third "Black Panther" film. Washington tackled this during a recent stint on Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, where he lauded Coogler as "a genius."

"I reached out and apologized for mentioning the film, and coincidentally, his lovely wife was there with him," Washington recounted. "Ryan remains unchanged—modest and brimming with creativity. Whatever he pens, I'm eager to read."

The venerated actor also shared insights with Variety regarding his health transformation. Recently, he drew attention by announcing his abstinence from alcohol.

"I embarked on a two-year journey towards better health. During the Academy Awards, I glimpsed myself and realized, 'Change is imperative,'" Washington revealed to Variety. "I enlisted the help of Doug Romero, a trainer. It has been my own birthday gift—achieving a state where I'm comfortable facing the person in the mirror.
