Gotham Awards 2024: Zendaya pays tribute to her mother as Nicole Kidman and Pamela Anderson evoke '90s nostalgia
Monday night, the stars descended upon Cipriani Wall Street in New York City for the illustrious Gotham Awards. This event celebrates visionary prowess both in front of and behind the lens, widens the audience for pioneering film and television, and supports the perpetual efforts of the non-profit entity, The Gotham Film & Media Institute.
Zendaya was honored with the Spotlight Tribute for her performance in "Challengers," using the platform to pay homage to her mother, Claire Stoermer. "To my mom," the 28-year-old actress declared, acknowledging her presence. "Shoutout mom; she’s embarrassed."

Kidman graced the event in a vintage Dolce & Gabbana creation from 1998. Meanwhile, Pamela Anderson made an appearance sans makeup. Nominated for "The Last Showgirl," Anderson has been in the limelight for her minimalist aesthetic, yet told People magazine, “I love to wear makeup too sometimes. It has a time and a place. I just feel in my personal life, it just didn’t really make sense.”
