Jamie Foxx remains undeterred by a recent mishap at his birthday gathering. The Academy Award recipient faced an unfortunate incident during a celebratory dinner in Beverly Hills, California, as confirmed by his representative.

"During Jamie Foxx's birthday dinner, an individual from a nearby table hurled a glass, striking him in the mouth," the spokesperson disclosed. "He required stitches and is on the mend. Authorities were contacted, and the situation is now under investigation."

The Beverly Hills Police Department verified their response to a "reported potential assault with a deadly weapon at Mr. Chow restaurant," though they refrained from naming Foxx.

On Sunday, Foxx took to social media, posting, "The devil is busy…but I’m too blessed to be stressed."

He elaborated, "The devil is a lie. Can’t win here… thank you to everyone who prayed and checked on me… when your light shines bright… they try to cast shadows, but they’re unaware you’re resilient… the lights have been brilliant…"

Foxx also expressed gratitude to those who have viewed and found inspiration in his latest Netflix stand-up special, "What Had Happened Was."

"This comes from my heart and soul," he shared.

The special marks Foxx's first detailed account of an April 2023 incident when he was hospitalized in Atlanta, Georgia, due to a medical emergency.

Foxx revealed a lack of memory for 20 days during his hospital stay, attributing it to a brain hemorrhage that doctors informed him resulted in a stroke.
