Jude Law Apologizes for Spoiling 'The Holiday'
Jude Law has left some fans heartbroken by divulging intriguing details about the beloved film, "The Holiday."
In a recent dialogue with BBC Radio, Law delved into the 2006 Christmas classic, a staple for many during the festive season. In the romantic comedy, he portrays the charming suitor of Cameron Diaz and brother to Kate Winslet's character.
"I find it just, honestly, glorious," Law remarked, speaking on the perennial appeal of "The Holiday" among audiences.
However, he unleashed a startling revelation when a host inquired about the possibility of staying in the cozy cottage prominently featured in the film.
"That cottage doesn’t exist," Law declared, drawing gasps from those in the studio.
The actor explained that the film’s director, Nancy Meyers, "is a bit of a perfectionist."
"She scoured that entire region but couldn’t locate the quintessential chocolate box cottage she envisioned," he recounted. "So she simply rented a field, sketched it, and had someone construct it."
Moreover, the cottage's interior scenes were not captured in the picturesque English countryside.
"During winter, we filmed part of 'The Holiday' here," Law noted about the UK shoot. "Each time I stepped through that door, we would cut, and the interiors were shot in LA about three months afterward."
This revelation sparked dismay among those in attendance, with one individual exclaiming, "We don’t want to hear any more! You’re ruining it!"
"Just burst the bubble," Law quipped, "Sorry!"
