Kate Bush has expressed a strong desire to embark on a new album, sparking immense enthusiasm among her dedicated followers. In an infrequent dialogue broadcasted on Friday, the iconic British singer-songwriter shared with BBC's "The Today Podcast: Bonus Episode" that she harbors an abundance of concepts for fresh compositions.

When inquired about new projects, Bush stated, "Not currently, though I've been engrossed in archival endeavors over recent years—revamping our website, compiling a lyrics anthology—and I'm eager to commence a new album once these tasks are complete. I'm brimming with ideas and eagerly anticipate reentering that creative realm—it's been quite a hiatus."

Bush, now 66, who gained stardom with her debut hit "Wuthering Heights" in 1978, hasn't delivered a studio album since 2011. Despite this, she attracted a new wave of admirers in 2022 when her 1985 track "Running Up That Hill" soared in popularity following its inclusion in Netflix's "Stranger Things." This resurgence propelled Bush to achieve three world records, as per the Guinness Book of World Records.

The announcement emerged during an interview concerning a brief film she authored and directed for War Child, a charity aiding children impacted by conflict. The four-minute monochrome film, titled "Little Shrew," is accompanied by a song named "Snowflake," initially crafted for her son. "This animation has consumed much of my time this year, so once it's wrapped up, I'll be ready for a fresh start," she mentioned.

Bush remained reticent, though she anticipated her forthcoming work would diverge from her prior creations. "I believe it must be different, don't you think? I like to imagine each of my albums stands apart from the others."

She was also questioned regarding a recent interview with The Guardian featuring Pink Floyd's guitarist David Gilmour, who was asked about coaxing his friend Bush back on stage. He remarked, "Kate Bush is the sole individual who can bring Kate Bush back to the stage. The 2014 shows at the Hammersmith Apollo were among the finest I've witnessed. We attended several nights. I've attempted to gently persuade her recently."

With a touch of humor, Bush responded, "I'm not there yet." She cherished those performances referenced by Gilmour but acknowledged the crew was "utterly exhausted by the first night.
