Kendrick Lamar is on a high, leading the charts and revealing a tour with SZA
Kendrick Lamar truly stands apart. The acclaimed rapper, who holds a Pulitzer Prize, recently surprised fans with a new album and subsequently ascended to the top of the charts. Additionally, he's set to embark on a tour with a frequent collaborator.
His latest work, "GNX," soared to the pinnacle of the Billboard 200 albums chart, while five singles from the album dominated the top five positions on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. In descending order, these hits are “Squabble Up,” “TV Off” featuring Lefty Gunplay, “Luther” with SZA, “Wacced Out Murals,” and “Hey Now” featuring Dody6.
“Squabble Up” marks Lamar's fifth No. 1 on the Hot 100 and his third this year. Achieving all top five singles in a single week places him alongside a select group of artists, including Taylor Swift, Drake, and The Beatles, who have accomplished this rare feat.
Two additional tracks from "GNX" also reached the top 10: “Reincarnated” at No. 8 and “Man at the Garden” at No. 9. Concurrently, it was revealed that Lamar will tour with SZA in April, following his anticipated performance as the Super Bowl halftime headliner.
