Lisa Kudrow recently discovered a note from Matthew Perry hidden in a 'Friends' prop
Lisa Kudrow recently unearthed a note penned by Matthew Perry and tucked away in a prop from "Friends" two decades ago. During her appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show," Kudrow shared that Perry had gifted her the cookie jar from the set of the beloved series after their final episode in 2004.
"I recently discovered the note he placed inside," Kudrow admitted. She confessed, "I hadn't opened it or peeked inside until now." While she kept the note's contents private, she echoed Barrymore's sentiment with a warm embrace, acknowledging that "timing is everything."
Barrymore had prompted Kudrow about mementos taken from the set, to which Kudrow admitted she had but kept the details under wraps. "I'm too frightened to disclose what it is," she confessed, fearing someone might come to claim it.
Perry, who passed away at 54 in his Pacific Palisades residence in October 2023, gained fame as Chandler Bing on "Friends," alongside Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office reported that Perry's death resulted from "acute effects of ketamine" and subsequent drowning. Perry had openly discussed his prolonged battle with substance abuse.
In a heartfelt tribute, Kudrow expressed, "Thank you for making me laugh until my muscles ached and tears streamed down my face every day." She continued on Instagram, "Thank you for your open heart in a complex six-way relationship that demanded compromise and much 'talking.' Thank you for showing up at work even when you were unwell, and delivering brilliance. Thank you for the best decade anyone could experience.
