Mariah Carey's Ultimate Diva Complaint We Totally Get
Mariah Carey desires nothing more than to present her finest self during the festive season. In a snippet from her guest spot on iHeart Radio’s “Las Culturistas Podcast,” the iconic singer voiced her aversion to the illumination in public venues, which she perceives as unflattering.
“I can’t stand overhead lighting,” Carey remarked. “Why must they subject us to it? Actually, it’s not us, it’s me.”
The 55-year-old music legend confesses, “I’m the one who suffers most from the dreadful lighting in elevators, doorways, and gyms.”
“Not that I frequent gyms,” she quipped. “Just an observation.”
“It’s atrocious lighting,” she continued. “Sunlight is acceptable, particularly at sunset. I’ll happily step outside with a little hat, as the sun gently kisses your skin.”
However, Carey highlighted that sunlight isn't without its drawbacks.
“It can be harmful, so caution is necessary,” she stated. “But overhead lighting, absolutely not, darling.”
To underscore her strong feelings about this lighting, Carey added one last comment.
“It makes me nauseous,” she asserted.
