Sean 'Diddy' Combs Faces Allegations of Holding Woman Over Balcony in Recent Lawsuit
Sean “Diddy” Combs faces serious allegations of sexual battery, accused by a woman of a harrowing incident in September 2016. Bryana “Bana” Bongolan, an aspiring fashion designer at the time, claims Combs dangled her from a 17-story balcony, with witnesses present, including his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
In her lawsuit filed recently, Bongolan charges Combs with "outrageous and abhorrent conduct” that violated her “fundamental dignity, bodily autonomy, and sense of safety." She describes the event on September 26, 2016, as the "culmination of a series of threats, intimidation, and violence" common in her encounters with Combs since their first meeting.
According to the suit, Combs arrived at Ventura’s apartment, shouting and banging on the door. Bongolan, aware of his violent temper, instructed her then-girlfriend to hide in the bathroom. After gaining entry, Combs allegedly advanced toward Bongolan on the balcony, groped her, and lifted her onto the banister, threatening her life.
Bongolan, uncertain of the reasons behind Combs’ wrath, managed to escape his grasp momentarily, only to be lifted again. Ventura’s intervention prevented a tragedy as Combs pulled Bongolan back over the balcony, then allegedly slammed her onto patio furniture.
Combs, currently in custody on federal charges, "firmly denies these serious allegations," according to his attorneys. They express confidence in the judicial process, asserting the claims are baseless. "The truth will come to light," the statement reads.
Bongolan’s allegations mirror those in Ventura’s November 2023 lawsuit, settled rapidly but igniting a cascade of civil suits against Combs, now facing over 30 complaints. Ventura’s suit referenced Combs’ alleged act of dangling a friend over a balcony following a 2015 party, known as a "freak-off," characterized by drug and sexual activities.
A source confirms Bongolan as the friend mentioned in Ventura’s lawsuit. CNN has sought comment from Ventura’s lawyer. Additionally, in May, CNN released surveillance footage of Combs abusing Ventura in 2016, prompting his public apology.
"I was disgusted then and now. I sought professional help, therapy, rehab," Combs stated. "I am truly sorry and committed to being a better man."
Bongolan’s suit portrays Combs as having a "disturbing pattern of abusive behavior," frequently appearing uninvited at Ventura’s apartment. It alleges incidents of violence, including Combs throwing a knife at Ventura. Bongolan seeks damages through her lawsuit.
