Actor Taylor Lautner is reigniting the "Twilight" saga's love triangle discourse from the late 2000s with a humorous twist for 2024.

In a comical video, Lautner channels the voice of an indignant netizen: "Honestly, forget Edward. Bella should have ended up with Jacob."

The backdrop features a scene from 2012's "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," showcasing Edward (Robert Pattinson) tying the knot with Bella (Kristen Stewart), until Lautner flips the camera, playfully outing himself as the creator.

"Oops," reads the caption, adding to the humor.

Lautner's video cleverly mimics a viral social media trend where users feign anonymity to dispense advice or self-praise before unveiling their identity.

Hosted on Lautner's TikTok page, the source of the video was never in doubt. Nonetheless, it struck a chord.

As of Sunday, the clip amassed over 80 million views.

The "Twilight" film series, inspired by Stephenie Meyer's fantasy-romance novels, was propelled by the love triangle between werewolf Jacob, vampire Edward, and human Bella, sparking fervent debates about Bella's ultimate partner. Fans ardently aligned with either Team Edward or Team Jacob.

In the end, Bella chooses Edward, embracing vampirism for eternal love.

In an unexpected twist, Jacob "imprints" on their hybrid offspring, Renesmee, becoming irrevocably bonded to her for life.

The films achieved colossal success, grossing over $3 billion worldwide.

Lautner, alongside Pattinson and Stewart, featured in all five movies released between 2008 and 2012.
