Teen Actor Hudson Meek, Known for 'Baby Driver,' Dies in Tragic Vehicle Accident

Hudson Meek, a youthful thespian of just 16 years, tragically passed away last week after tumbling from a moving automobile in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, as reported by CNN affiliate WVTM. The youngster endured blunt force injuries during the fall on December 19 and was subsequently admitted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. He succumbed to his wounds on December 21, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's office, as relayed by WVTM.

"His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met," a poignant message on his Instagram account states. Meek, notable for his varied acting and voice-over roles, was best recognized for portraying a younger version of Ansel Elgort's character in the 2017 film "Baby Driver."

Additionally, Meek lent his voice to the protagonist in "Badanamu Stories," a children's series addressing themes pertinent to preschoolers, as per IMDb. His talents also graced productions such as NBC's "Found," The CW's "Legacies," and the newly released thriller "The School Duel."

His obituary painted a picture of a "reflective and thoughtful" teenager, passionate about travel and nature. "He loved snow-skiing and could easily navigate the hardest trails that no one else in the family would dare attempt," it read. "One of his favorite places to be was at the lake, tubing and wakeboarding."

The Vestavia Hills Police Department continues to scrutinize the details surrounding Meek's untimely demise, as WTVM reported. CNN has reached out to the local police for further information regarding the incident.
