'Vanderpump Rules' Star James Kennedy Arrested on Domestic Violence Suspicion
James Kennedy, a familiar face from reality television, found himself in legal trouble on Tuesday. The Burbank Police Department apprehended him on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence. The arrest occurred on Tuesday night after officers responded to a call at a Burbank home around 11:30 p.m. They were called to address a dispute between a man and a woman, as detailed by Sgt. Stephen Turner, the department's Public Information Officer.
Upon assessing the situation, authorities classified it as a "domestic incident." Consequently, Kennedy, widely recognized from Bravo’s "Vanderpump Rules," was taken into custody on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence, according to Turner.
Efforts have been made by CNN to obtain comments from Kennedy's representatives. Following his arrest, Kennedy was released on Wednesday after posting a $20,000 bond. This is corroborated by records from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The Burbank City Attorney’s Office has informed CNN that they are currently reviewing the case, with formal charges still pending.
In the latest season of the show, Kennedy was seen living with his partner, Ally Lewber, whom he started dating in 2022. CNN has also reached out to Lewber's representatives for their remarks.
Kennedy, a DJ by profession, has been part of "Vanderpump Rules" since 2014. It was previously revealed that he and some other long-standing cast members would not return for the upcoming season.
